Dr David Hodgson, Managing Director at TFP Hydrogen Products

Meet Dr David Hodgson our Managing Director at TFP Hydrogen Products. 

David founded PV3 Technologies in 2011, optimising the company’s know-how in platinum group metal coatings and growing it significantly over the past 10 years.

In January, PV3 was acquired by the Technical Fibre Products group and is now known as TFP Hydrogen Products. On completion the acquisition he commented “We are delighted to be joining the TFP group, which shares our passion for sustainability and the development of technologies for the hydrogen economy.”

With over 35 years’ experience in the electrochemistry industry, David has been instrumental in his field, from working in R&D in multi-national corporates to CTO and CEO roles for Plurion, Amalyst and others. Since 2009, David has managed a portfolio career, undertaking a wide range of advisory roles, including working together with the Department for International Trade in helping companies understand the UK energy sector, and in the area of innovation to commercialisation in a programme named ‘idea2invoice’.  

David said “The combination of TFP and TFP Hydrogen Products will leverage technology from both companies, particularly around metal coating. TFP Hydrogen Products will make full use of TFP’s global sales and marketing organisation and a willingness to add capacity at scale to take advantage of opportunities as they arise.”
